Strange dream

So two nights ago I had this dream, I went to some kind of technology exposition being held in what looked like a school auditorium. I walked up to one of the booths (for cellphone service, I think it was Verizon), and the salesdood started hitting on me. He said his name is Mike, and he handed me his business card. I glanced at the card and it listed his address and phone number, and I commented that the city name ("Gualala") was very cool. At that point I woke up, remembering the first three digits of his phone number. It was 707-885-something, 8465, 8645, I don't remember the rest exactly. Just for kicks yesterday I looked it up, and it's one of only three telephone prefixes that are valid for Gualala, California. Now I'm starting to freak out, because I may have heard of the town before, but there's absolutely no way I knew what the prefixes were for it. Very, very strange. I can't just start calling around and asking for Mikes, then if I find someone with that name, tell a complete stranger that I drempt about him?

That must be it. My subconscious must have picked up this info at some point, even though I don't remember ever seeing it.

Or, The man of your dream is living in Gualalala, California. He's only one phonecall away and the marrying kind.

Very touching. A modern love story in the making.
I'm sure all of the rest of StyleForvm will join me in wishing you and Mike the very, very best.

Thanks DR. The wedding bells are premature. If I could remember those last four digits, I'd make one call to see what happens. But I'm not about to make 10,000 calls to find someone who probably doesn't exist. I've had lots of vivid and strange dreams and invariably they've amounted to nonsense.

You may just be my least and most favorite poster, AThing.

We have a Mike on this very forum! And I'm pretty sure he's available.

I'm thankful for the responses to my post. Jekyll must be correct, but for the life of me I don't know where I ever saw the telephone prefixes that service Gualala. The town is hundreds of miles from here and I've never been close to it.

Sounds kind of neat. I'd keep digging for a mike with those digits.

You don't happen to have any of the lottery numbers for this week do you?

you know..."they"..say that you dont see anything in dreams that u never have before, your brain just takes a bunch of images and mixes them together to create something that is "new" to you.

chances are during your lifetime you came across that information but you just dont remember and it just reappeared in your dream, chances are you have actually seen this "mike" person too.

It wouldn't surprise me at all. My family (on my dad's side) has some kind of strange memory thing going on.. Both my dad and his dad claim to remember being born. I don't remember being born, but I have very clear memories going back to age 2 months. Point is, there's probably a lot of stuff I've seen and committed to my subconscious, even though I have no conscious memory of it. I think that's true for everyone.

Go back to sleep, doing the same things you did when you first had the dream. The #'s will come.
