I don't think I've ever seen "Cook's" in the NYC area. On the bubbles note, Flute Champagne bar has a happy hour from 5-8 on Tuesdays where everything is half price. Last I knew, half bottles of Krug were $100 each, thus buy one get one works out very favorably.

My trip mostly consisted of getting up at 3 PM and then going to perch at the hotel bar when it opened at 4PM. I didn't even make it to the Tom Ford store despite living a couple blocks from it. I also had dinner at the Jean-Georges restaurant in the hotel, but had too much champagne in my room/bar to quite remember what it was like.
