Where should I move?

I've been thinking lately that I would really like a change of scenery. So I'm toying with the idea of moving someplace just for a year or two. My plan would be to find a job and save as much as possible for college while working on my writing and filmmaking in my free time. What I'm looking for is a city that has a low cost of living, low unemployment, and relatively nice weather. Culture/nightlife would be nice, but aren't as necessary as they might otherwise be since it would just be for a year or two. I was thinking somewhere in the Southwest, but I'm open to any suggestions. Also, now that I think about it, a nice theater that shows indie and foreign films would be super. Nonessential though.

Don't you live in Toledo or something? Try the east coast. Maybe D.C., NYC or Boston. Not low cost though. One of the smaller coastal cities with easy accesss to the bigger ones is a possibility though.

I forgot one thing, it has to be at least one state away from Michigan. So no Illinois, Ohio, Indiana, Wisconsin. I'm sick of the Midwest.

Well that's just stupid.

That screams NYC to me. Seriously, Tucson. All of my friends from Tucson miss and love Tucson. It's boho, they have film fests and the music scene is keen.

I think Chicago is a great city. Not much of a "Midwest" feel.
