Achieving towel-dried hair look?

Hey guys, I'm trying to get my hair to look like it's been towel dried and keep the effect all day if possible. I have been experimenting with several kinds of hair products while trying to find a new style for my hair, and figured that the towel-dried hair look is the best looking one. So far, I have some experience with mousse, gels, and pomades. But not too much.

So I'm wondering what product should be used for the towel-dried look, and how to apply it.

I am Asian with in-between short or medium length hair on top, and a shorter hair on the sides.

Old-fashioned products work if you don't mind the smell: Brylcreem, Groom and Clean, V05, Vitalis, Jeris w/ oil.
