This past Tuesday, I dated a cute and intellectually engaging 20 yr old. She shared my love of literature and astronomy; her knowledge of the latter exceeding that of any attractive girl I've ever known. She and I had a few drinks then we made out for an extended period of time before parting. She had given me the link to the recently started eMagazine for which she had begun interning and writing. I found one of her reviews and then stumbled upon her Twitter. This is where things became interesting. I first checked to see what she had written during the date, if anything. I blushed when I read something that was clearly tweeted while I was in the john on the date. "Why is everything so hilarious and wonderful" I was mildly flattered. I scrolled down and came upon a tweet made the day after I met her at a club: "Gave my number out like it was candy last night..." Certainly any specialness I had felt was diminished, but I couldn't really complain as I play the field and do the same. A tweet from a few months ago, however, did adversely affect my opinion of her: "Officially a STD member, word up." Could this be true? Why would someone promulgate their diagnosis of herpes or something? She better not have that shit in her mouth. Or did she join some club or organization with the acronym STD? Not sure if I should take her out again as I was planning. Not that date would necessarily end in a fornication session...Thoughts?
