To 3rd icon: just curious, what do u do, if anything special, to get so intense fades on the upper legs on most of your jeans? and how often do u wash ? Thanks mate

^ i usually have 4-5 pairs on my jeans rotation at any given time, so they don't get dirty enough to get washed that oftten... specially when they had to take the backseat for certain projects__ eg, the FC 1108C competition @SuFu, the "Taming the Natural", & now the "SevenSamurais ...." [both @MN.

the jeans that i've posted on this thread have jeans descriptions, measurements, sizing, and soak/wash frequencies__ like, SD 101 hasn't been washed since last year and i got pairs [ei, 5000ai-10sp & PBJ 007] that has been multi soaked, but never seen the inside of a washer just yet. i can't really stand the smell of filth, so i soak when i have to & wash when i needed to. however. when i do wash [ei, at least their 1st couple of washes], i give them a nice spray coat [not too much] of heavy duty starch on the laps & back combs while still slightly damp__ i use a wet towellette to spread evenly, blow dry the starched area [on high setting], then hang to let the rest dry .

as it might seem, but there is a method to the madness. aside from liking the feel of crisp, freshly washed denim, the re-introduction of starch [on certain areas] promotes roughness on the surface of the denim which makes it prone to ataris, imho. i know this is highly ... prolly even sacrilege to the denim purists.... but, i'm merely answering a simple question & this is what i do.

wow, thanks, thats quite helpful. I guess i just nvr tried to do anything to my jeans besides trying to wear them as often as possible. you really do something crazy, but the results did come out amazing. if possible could you share your more specific progress of starch (eg. what kind), (or would the sufu thread just explain as well?) so i might try this method on a pair later. in the meantime im enjoying the subtle fades alot. thanks again.

Hi all, had some time this morning and took some pics of the jeans I've been picking up lately. I'm 6'0, 190lbs, 34 inch waist. let me know what you guys think. hope a front and side view is enough to get an idea of the fits. I'm wearing the same shoes for all of them for a reference point. I'm anticipating that most of you will say for me to hem my jeans. I've been too lazy to do it and I haven't found a tailor here that I trust to do the alteration yet. So let me know what you guys think is the best fitting (if any!) of these. Thanks! ^nice bro.

I don't usually...actually ever wear boots. I will wear a pair of my Nudie's or Evisu's with my beaten sk8 shoes (comfy wins!). Or I will wear it with a pair of chucks, here is a pick of my Slacker jacks/chucks.

Here's how I rock my size 28 new standard. My true waist is 32. Started wearing them in December. They've been worked three days a week since. No wash or soak. Still smell fantastic.

Flat Head BSP size 34

Flat Head F380 size 34

we're about the same size__ i'm 5'11", 180-ish & mostly TTS @W33. fantastic collection+fits, btw.

i got the 380s & BSPs, too, but @W33 on both. 'got no problem with the 380s, but the BSPs are hella' tight after the soaks. yours [which you sized same as the 380s] seem to fit just right. has it ever touched water?__ if yes, then does it means they've stretched back out? how quick?

Thanks for your comments. I've learned a ton from reading this forum and your posts.

Oh, those BSP's...I consulted heavily with mlyngard on these jeans. I feel like I went to war with them just to get them to where they are now! moreso than any other pair in my closet, I pretty much wore them every chance I got for about 2+ months. I would soak them, wear them wet around the house, lunges, squats, you name it just to get them to stretch a little. I really questioned whether or not those jeans were suited for bigger guys. don't be surprised if it takes you 30-40 wears. These have been warm soaked at least 3 times, and they stretch back out more quickly after each soak. The first soak is a bitch! it's like all your work went out the window.
