Dang, I'm liking those...is the rise for the 514's the same as 501's?

Not at all. 514s are much lower rise.

. I have 30x32's in Tumbled Rigid that I love. Well, I loved them more before the first wash on my 3Sixteens and haven't worn them since, but I'll have to find them to try on before ordering. 514's are a great cut, very versatile leg opening, and the 34 inseam sounds perfect for me.

Agreed, I've tried on 501, 511, 512, 527, and 505 and 514 are by far my favorite cut..slim but not skinny and the leg opening is not flared but doesn't hug the ankle.

You said you had the rigid...how much did they stretch? I usually wear a 31 in levi but im worried that with a 31 in the selvedge they will stretch to be too big. A 31 on first wear is snug and a 30 is very tight FWIW

my tumbled rigid stretched a good amount but this is totally different denim. tumbled rigids feel like sand paper.

i love everything about the cut except the leg opening is a fraction too big for when i'm wearing vans and causes them to drag behind my heal if i don't roll the hem up a tiny bit in the back.

Those look good but no button fly is a deal breaker for me.

Great cut and appears to be nice denim. This fit is great for those of us that aren't built to rock a true skinny jeans program

Levis site says 9 5/8" front rise. Can anyone who has a pair of 514's confirm this and tell me what the back rise is? Thanks.
