I remember dropping a hit of blotter and seeing this in '72 or '73. First cartoon to be "awarded" an X rating, iirc.

Watching cartoon cats do it made for a pretty wild evening.

Whoa.
That is pretty cool!

Sort of like I remember, too.

Thanks, man.

Ratatouille is fabulous. I love the Jungle Book too. Some of the old Disney films have marvellous scenes: The sequence in Sleeping Beauty when the fairy godmothers put everyone in the castle to sleep is just beautiful.

everything Miyazake/studio gibli for sure is just fantastic as a movie and as far as the glorious illustrations.

has anyone seen Sleeping Beauty in blu-ray? People argue over the color being correct etc etc but Disney went back and took the original cells and retouched the whole movie. The clarity with which the animation comes through in high definition is phenomenal.

Also, Walt Disney was very influential in the development of animation and not to be overlooked.

I really like Fantasia.

Also, I really enjoyed the style of Tekkonkikreet (sp). And Akira is excellent as well.

I recommend "˜Felidae'.

Best animated film? 'Mind Game' or 'Angel's Egg'.

Pedo overtones? I think you read too much into it. Vin Diesel likes older boys.

Best --> Grave of the Fireflies Some other very good ones are: AKIRA, Ghost in the Shell 2 and Ninja Scroll . Don't forget Golgo 13, James Bond looks like a kid as compared to Golgo 13.

Some of these were real creative failures: Robin Hood used animation, character design and sequences from earlier Disney films. I would add The Point for a good "let's get stoned and watch a movie" evening, The Incredible Mr. Limpet and Tron. lefty
