nastiest thing you've ever seen in a grocery store/food market

Today I saw pork tongues in agar. It looked so gross. I don't understand who buys that stuff. For those that never took a microbiology or biochemistry in university, agar is a gelatinous substance with a fairly distinct smell. It's the stuff that gets put in petri dishes for bacterial cultures, etc.

I was going to go with the supersized cashier asking my roommate "So, you like it hot?" when he was buying peppers.

HEAD CHEESE!!!

I have slaughtered soft shell turtles before. It's not as gruesome as people think. One chop to the neck and the head comes off. When I lived in China, I saw dogs hanging upside down and been clubbed to death for meat on street markets, that was the worst I have seen.
