boy, this thread brings back memories. it was the day before I started my present job, and I polished all of my shoes well, and then found my hands were spotted black and I really dind't want to start work that way.

a dish soap usually is fantastic. they are hard core

I just searched for this topic because I had this problem, but then I found the solution: Brillo pad.

We have a winner. Surprised it took until the second page. I just use the scrubber side of the dish sponge with some liquid soap.

cleaning shoe polish? hot water + dish soap work fine for me. not sure if it will work for shoe polishing stands.

Hot water diluted with white vinegar + soap.

I polish a shoe I stole and I put it where my ballsack is and rub it around until the shoe polish is gone off the shoe. About 10mins later I suck the shoe and then im scared to bits.
