removing cigarette smoke from cufflinks

Any advice on removing cigarette smoke smell from a pair of cufflinks I bought off of ebay. They are nice besides the nasty smell (and maybe a little yellowing). Thanks.

Store them in baking soda for a while? My only concern is the metal's reactivity to the basic quality of the soda. Otherwise try using a liquid silver cleaner, and if the links contain mother of pearl, then I'd use a pearl cleaner.

Would a UV light do the trick? I understand that at least it works for bacteria.
