Any other thread created for the purpose of hairstyle advice will be terminated. Or maybe not.


So...I'm thinking about getting something like this. Yes or no? My hair is thick, fairly straight and relatively fine.

Only looks good if you have model looks. Otherwise you will look like an unkempt nerd.

first one looks cool...I gotta warn you though, these looks invariably involve a lot of product. (its not just a matter of get out of shower, scrunch hair and out the door)

If I want hair like this should I take a picture or just try to describe what I want? Taking pictures of Gucci runway models to my stylist seems a bit.....weird.

Take a picture definitely. Will almost always come out better when the stylist has a visual frame of reference. I did this recently (not for this look) and it came out almost exactly the way I wanted (and I never get good haircuts).

I do something similar but more at an angle instead of straight forward.
Advice from me would be to use a pomade and keep it looking dry. Also, don't make it too neat but keep the sides and back clean.
