Thanks for all the replies. This brings up a good point...how much should I expect per person for a 5-7 day all inclusive trip, flying from Philly probably? Are certain islands substantially cheaper than others?

Youre in Philly? Did you consider Bermuda? Cayman is most likely the most expensive island IMO.

summer is the worst time of year to visit the tropics. it will either be raining, hot as hell, or both.

Try Crystal Cruises. You'll be able to visit many of the islands in a 7 or 14 day trip. Cruises are a great way to Island hop.

I'd love to hit up Bermuda, it really is in the middle of nowhere. Plus it's an excuse to wear Bermuda shorts.

I think we dropped about a grand a piece for a week in barbados...it was a package deal and I would *NOT* recommend the company (sunsplashtours or something) so...YMMV
