Hey guys I need help finding a shampoo for my hair. this past year my hair has been smelling really strong, I take a shower every night and 2 hours later it smells bad. I'm also acne prone so I have to be picky with the shampoos that I use. So far I've used Head & shoulder, Herbal Essence, Aussie, Tail of Maine and its not doing a good job. Any of you guys been in the same boat as me? if so what has worked?

Thanks.

I don't think I have fungus. I cut my hair every 2 months really really short and I don't see anything. Plus my mother is a M.D and she told me I need a good shampoo, thats why I'm asking for a good shampoo.

you would not be able to see fungal growths on your scalp. you should try nizoral, which can be purchased from any drug store. it is an antifungal shampoo. that site that was posted mentioned that sulfur containing shampoos are beneficial as well.

Your hair should not smell. Try Nizoral or another anti-fungal shampoo and see if that helps. Are your towels and pillow-cases clean? If you dry your hair off with a mildewy towel, that could contribute to the problem.

Yeah I change my sheets and pillow cover twice a week. I'm gonna go try selsun blue and see if it helps.

shampoo with tea tree oil might help. it's good for dandruff and it leaves a nice cool feeling.

Seems to me that this isn't a problem about finding the right shampoo; it's a problem with your hair. Is it just your hair that smells? How bad is it? You may want to consider going to a doctor or at least doing a little research online if you haven't already.
