Quoddy's site says they "do not charge for repairs needed due to quality concerns," but if the repair is "due to wear and longevity" then you need to send them the shoes so they can give you an estimate. You can call Quoddy for "ballpark figures at 207.853.2488, or email email@example.com
If the only issue is what the poster stated above -- replacement of a sole on a brand new shoe (so it's clear the owner didn't wear through the rubber sole and into the leather) -- then it seems like they would be able to give a pretty accurate estimate of the cost over the phone.
