Alright so I'm going to California not to long from now. I already know where all the shops are, the beach, etc. I just want to know the attractions that a person who will only be there once in presumably a long time needs to go to.

edit: rofl I forgot to say southern cali, staying near LA.

Where will you be? If you didn't know, California is an enormous fucking state. Like way over 10 hours driving fromt he north end to the south end.

+1

it would be almost 10 hours to drive from san diego to san francisco, and there's a hell of a lot of california north of san francisco.

There's this really cool shop, I don't remember the name, but it's by the beach. You can't miss it, it's just off the freeway. You should definitely check it out.

Really? I can't get solid advice for a 2 hour radius around LA? I just want the must see places, not a giant list of everything in that area.

You will probably die in an earthquake. Just FYI.

Or get washed out to sea in a mudslide.

Maybe because there a trillion things to do within a 2 hour radius of downtown Los Angeles.

Within two hours of Los Angeles, you have San Diego, AN ENTIRE CITY UNTO ITSELF, you have Santa Barbara AN ENTIRE CITY UNTO ITSELF, you have Orange County, an ENTIRE GEOGRAPHIC AREA UNTO ITSELF. Catch our collective drift?

In case you haven't gotten the hint, we're not the internet. If you want honest advice, use the search function or......SHOCKER, be more specific.

I remember spending some good times in this area in los angeles called "south central(?)" years ago... a very well-mannered and friendly populace, plus lots of interesting activities everywhere in the area.
