They are on the raised 1970 chuck taylor last. For all intents and purposes, they are the ultimate minimalist converse.

I'm not a huge fan of the brown laces but that can easily be remedied.

They're not that nice in person. The sole is very thick and has a shiny plastic sheen to it. Looks like the shoe was dipped in molten plastic.

Also, it seems that converse has re-released the old, better quality Jack Purcells as the Jack Purcell Signature (with a nice mark-up).

I couldn't find it on the US website but it'll probably appear soon.

Just saw these on zappos. $95 US here. black white and grey. they look pretty good; an improvement over the crappy revamp, but of course at a premium price. at first i thought 'what, they brought back the underlayed smiley??' then i noticed it seems to mimic the, i'm no expert, but 70's or 80's Purcells. I think the rubber is 'taller' (none of that 'low-profile' junk they've done to half the ones they put out), the smiley and heel tag are blue across all models, it's unpadded (not a fan of that, i like the lightly padded Purcells), the rubber seems to have a slightly glossier composition, the bottoms don't have the 'classic' siping, but a large zigzag. Also they moved the vents back up on the sides where they actually do something and are not blocked by the insert (such a dumb design flaw).

I wonder if they'll ever make it to 6pm.com

It's supposed to officially release on the 12th. Looks great. I might get a pair. Kinda wish it was a little more minimalistic without the branding on the heel, but still a great spring summer shoe.

Btw, anyone know where I can get a pair of the Moto's in size 7? Can only find 8+.

whoa, weird. I swear at the time of my post those Purcell classics were up on zappos. they must have put them up too early, then took them down or something. went to look at them again just now and they're not there.

i just noticed my pair of cons (ctas pro) has 7 pairs of eyelets, do they add an extra when you go beyond US 11 or something? even the exact pair on converse's site has 6.

I have a pair. Black lows. I really like them. They're super comfy.

Has anyone seen these around? I found these at a thrift store, they havent been worn, they have leather on the outside and a plaid pattern lining the inside. Just curious if anyone has any info about these.

I just received the Chuck 2's today. I've been wearing Chucks for over 15 years. These new ones feel quite a bit more snug than the same size old style Chucks. Is that what other people are experiencing? I may head over to Nordstrom to exchange for 1/2 size up.

I bought my first Converse this week. Jark Purcell in malt leather.

Converse site finally was absorbed by Nike. Horrendous site. I wonder if they will change their offerings now that the Nike move is final
