I would find the retailers in your area of Canada, and AZZk them if they carry.

I was interested in this pair of Jack Purcells for a while and finally pulled the trigger:

I have never owned Converse and was not sure what to expect, but heard the Purcells were better because they have a molded sole and some support. When I got them in the mail today they both felt and looked cheap. The leather on this model is pretty poor quality and the rubber on the bottom is thin. Anyone else experience this with this or similar models? Maybe Cons aren't for me.

I honestly couldn't think of a single subculture in America that doesn't have people wearing chucks... that's how universal the appeal is. Indie kids, rockers, gangsters, sport jocks, nerds, regular people, everyone rocks chucks.

Ode to you. God I fucking love you.

Very true. If someone wants to rock the reds, check my sig.

Does anyone know where I can find a pair of these?

Also, does anyone have the brogued JP lowtops? How do they look in person? Any fit pics out there? They look pretty nice, but can't tell how they'd look on

Thanks

those are hideous. you can't go wrong with classic all-white canvas, or black if you can find the low-profile in stock in your size.

I proclaim Racearounds NOT hideous, unless you mean the rust colored or white ones.

These:

are kinda sick, and I'm thinking of getting them ONLY because I'm sure they won't be around long. (slight rant mode on) I've been around SF long enough to know there's probably a subset of uptight pricks here that probably think they are 'above' considering Jackass as entertainment, so fuck you if you think I'm lame for wanting these a little.

My only qualm is, do I go for 9's and hope I can get me feet in 'em, or get 10's and hope they don't feel too big... the last pair of Chucks I bought were 9's and they fit, but for all I know these were made a half world away from those and the sizing may be inexact.

But it's so hilarious and disgusing!

Haha. I just watched Jackass 2 and realized Johnny Knoxville wears nothing but Converse.

The Chuck Taylors are old enough to still have been made in the US.

Are the pair on the far right the Charles Barkley shoe? Or Kevin Johnson? I think I remember them on one of the Phoenix Suns players back in the day....
