Coincidentally, this also makes NFL football the best sport to watch on the DVR. You record the game and skip all the crap. You can still see the whole entire game, every single play, and only take 10 minutes instead of 3 hours.

NFL Sunday Ticket = problem solved. Instead of just watching one game, I flip back and forth through all the games that are being played.

yes, televised chess is right there w/ nfl & nascar in terms of viewers...

Do you not understand the analogy? Football "action" I.E. between when the ball is snapped and when the whistle blows is not the entirety of the game. If you are too disinterested or lazy to learn the game, then you are missing most of what happens on a football field.
