From Oi Polloi, which seems to be a Context-like site in England (UK people can set me straight on that if they want to)... There's a very nice diagram explaining what individual measurements terms mean exactly. http://www.oipolloi.com/oipolloi/shop/measdenim.php Questions like these most often come up with denim it seems, so I thought it'd be more useful for that, but it obviously has applications with all types of pants. A few British-isms include "leg," which in the U.S. would be "inseam," and "hem," which in the U.S. would be "leg opening." And in this case (as in most cases, no?) "rise" = "front rise." Don't know if this has been posted before. Probably not useful if you're a forum veteran, but just in case people need a visual aid. EDIT: P.S. Sorry for not embedding the whole image.
