Liked casino but goodfellas is way better and deserve the better recognition.

I have to admit, that as a f-ing huge New Order fan--and therefore with a significant interest in JD, I was kind of bored by this movie. Two possible reasons: 1. over-hype in the JD/NO world 2. I already knew the story, so actually the first sentence should read "Because I'm a f-ing huge NO fan..."

That said, the acting was very very good.

Not a geographical thing, just your own perception. Neither movie was a box office hit in Canada or the U.S.

Goodfellas had greater rental appeal as it was nominated for Best Picture in 1990 and is widely acknowledged as an American classic.

Based on box office numbers, both are pretty obscure movies. Not the type that "everyone saw".

Oh man, is this the same Miracle Mile with Anthony Edwards in it? If so, this movie completely freaked me out as a kid, especially growing up in late Cold War Washington D.C.

I always had nightmares about nuclear war and Soviet soldiers marching down my cul-de-sac and Miracle Mile certainly didn't help that. Neither did Red Dawn for that matter.

Now RAD, on the other hand, is the reason why I've got close to 20 BMX trophies collecting dust somewhere in my mother's attic.
