I'd probably do exactly what I'm doing now to be honest...

I heard that you can have a lawyer collect the cheque by the way.

Apparently not everywhere.
Mrs. Checks's godmother just won $250,000, and they made here take a picture for the lottery. It's part of the license scheme.

I heard about this happening in Canada... everyone thought that the lawyer had won.

I'd:

Buy a cottage in the Cotswolds

Buy a sailboat, a cruiser ~50 feet

Hire a crew, and someone to teach me to captain the damn thing

Buy a ranch in the northern Hill Country

Stock said ranch with few thousand dollars worth of choice firearms

Buy a Defender 90 for the ranch

Make a sartorial tour of London, Paris, Milan, and Rome to build a solid wardrobe

Collect antique books (especially grimoires, encyclopedias, atlases, and travel guides)

Collect antique maps, especially pre-Industrial European city maps

Collect late medieval swords

Stash ~$7000 in various safety deposit boxes and foreign accounts to enable a bug out if necessary, and indulge my paranoid fantasies

Split whatever's left between long-term investments, the Bodleian, the ACLU, and poverty-reduction organizations.

We're gonna have Don Quijote in Hawaii pretty soon. If it looks that cluttered, I can't wait! A store chain here called Daiei was recently purchased by DQ. They haven't changed the store's names yet.

Gotta love Japanese sundry stores!

Can you imagine what a piece of shit you would turn into if you stopped working?

Look what it did for me!!!

Buy a bigger house in North Central Phoenix - Sen. McCain's is for sale for $6 million right now.

Doesn't anyone ever wonder where politicians get the money for that kind of house? Especially ones supposedly outside Beltway influence like McCain?

11. Kegger! (Old Style $52.50)

Keggers of Old Style are still for sale?

I thought it was only sold by the cup at Wrigley...

Will be in Chi mid-August. Gotta get me some. My first beer ever...

Steve - to answer that question, the home is actually the one in which his wife, Cindy "Hensley" McCain, grew up. Her family owns Hensley Distributing which is the Anheuser-Busch distributor for the Phoenix Metropolitan area. The money that McCain has is mostly from his wife. He doesn't personally have a large amount himself and I believe that he has given the proceeds of his book and movie rights to charity.

First of all, it's Don Keehotay. My guess is you know the theme song by heart if you've ever spent more than a minute and a half in any of their stores. "Don-don-don, Don-kee, Don kee, ho-o-tay." The one in Roppongi is surreal.

Back to the question of what you'd do if you [inherited] $20 mil.

I'd get my pilot's license and take up the hobby of flying vintage aircraft.

I want to fly a Fokker D.VII.

Quote:
The D.VII was a late World War I fighter aircraft designed by Reinhold Platz at the Fokker company. When introduced into combat in 1918 it quickly proved to be superior to existing Allied fighters, leading to a second Fokker Scourge. So infamous was the airplane, that it was the only weapon specifically demanded by name by the Allies in the armistice agreements at the end of the war (Surrender in good condition by the German Armies of [...] all D7s [...]).

Income Fund (property focused), giving me a very very nice income for doing nothing every year. Then gradually use the income to get all the stuff you see in cribs!
