Stumbled across this last night. Looks pretty cool. Worth the price?

Depends on the price. If it's anything crazy high, it's not worth it. The meat itself is American raised Wagyu, not the authentic stuff from Kobe. Still, if the prices are good it is bound to be better than the shit you'd get at most places.

I'd like to find a decent source for steak and this place appeals to the hipster doofus in me.

Yelp seems to like them:

We bought a nearly 1lb. New York strip steak, and followed the butcher's recommendation to the letter: sear for 3 minutes each side on medium high heat. The shop provided a small cube of Wagyu fat (individually wrapped!) to use instead of oil or butter, for superior flavor. Result: perfection. A crisp dark crust around a butter tender, red center. Wonderful flavor.

Just get a great meal at Five Points next door instead or across the street at the Great Jones Cafe.

Its good stuff, but over priced. Ive been getting some grass fed steaks from the farmers market on 47/2 (Dag Square on Wednesdays). Its much fresher and half the price.

It's awesome and you do not have to go for the highest priced stuff. They have some marinated beef for yakiniku that uses smaller pieces of meat that would be hard to sell as a nice steak but are still delicious and pretty cheap.

Didn't like Five Points that much.

Looks like a nice piece of meat for the price. I think for around the same price you can get a really good piece of American prime beef though (which most people would probably prefer around that price range). I haven`t tried the American Wagyu yet, but I imagine it is a lot different from the real deal.

Also, interesting is that in Japan it is standard that the beef comes with the small block of fat for cooking, but I don`t think it is in the States.

Does the fat cost extra, or does it come free with the meat?

I'll stick with the mid west dry aged stuff at Florence Meat Market.
