Your ugliest tie - Page 3

I like the hot dog tie. Subtle. Freudian. What more could you ask from your neckwear?

It has absolutely nothing to do with being rich. It has to do with class. Clip ons lack that. They look artificial, and lack character since they've been pre-tied into a "perfect" knot. I'm not rich, and apart from when I was five I've never owned one in my life. If you keep on doing a four-in-hand, half-Windsor, Windsor etc. it's really not a hassle to put it on and take it off. Additionally, having a real tie allows you to do all those different knots than just the half-Windsor the clip ons usually come in. My guess is, if you're an assistant manager you have money to spend on some tasteful ties. Do it! It's not that much to get a couple of mid-range brand ties at your local Ross, TJ Maxx, or other discount clothing stores. Trust me, it'll make a huge difference in your wardrobe.

Diane: What's going on over here?

Woman at beach: There is a beached whale, she's dying.

Voice: Is anyone here a marine biologist?

Kind of an off topic question, but since it is my post, and I don't think it is worthy of a new thread....is it OK to wear ties with button down collars? I won a lot of 6 dress shirts on ebay, and I just noticed a few of them are button down. I've tried to avoid button collars up until now, so I really don't know. I see people wearing ties with button down...but something doesn't sit right with me.

Oh yeah does anyone know how to take pitstains out ? lol

You could use the white one as your shaving shirt. You know how the Trumper stuff stains clothes

Soak it for a day or so in Oxyclean. It may get it out.

your intitled to your opinion but i dont think ya can tell the difference with a clip on tie and a regular tie....i think thier both good.....i dont make that much money being an asst manager and we gotta keep the ties either black or navy blue.....on valentines day you get to wear red....and at xmas too.....for paddys day we wear green.....and fourth of july ya get ta wear a flag tie....on those days my mom helps me tie the tie.....
