It does look it, doesn't it? Sadly, nothing stronger than San Pellegrino and pomegranate juice was in my system when I snapped those photos.
Fortunately, in their defense (if not mine) both ties are far better looking than my rank attempts at photography would suggest. That's what you get when you take an ancient Nikon 2 megapixel camera, stand two feet away, and zoom in.
In fairness to both ties, they're not as ugly as my pictures would suggest. The Brioni tie, with a silkscreen overlaying a delicate woven pattern, looks especially worse in the picture than in real life. And much less black.
Also, I can't explain it at all, but women go crazy
for that ectoplasm green and searing magenta tie. Absolutely bonkers. Maybe it's because that white guys who are relatively unafraid of color are rare. Or maybe Charvet packs pheremones in their silks. I don't know. But women lose all rationality around that tie.
