ESPN just said it's going down on May 1st at the MGM Grand! "We are going to take Gatti down I will take on Hatton and then I’ll get a little green and take on Cotto and punish him. Then I’ll be the King and go on to 147 to take over ‘47." -Floyd Mayweather Jr.

Mayweather can't win. If he doesn't fight people will question him, but at the same time they expect him to win in every potential matchup.

i can only recall seeing flloyd struggle once and it was in '02 or '03 or sometime around then. mightve been corey spinks but having seen several other spinks bouts it's hard to imagine him giving flloyd trouble

Mayweather still hasn't signed contract to fight Mosley

Quote:
"The Super Bowl was going to kick off the promotion," said Schaefer. "It would have been a great platform for promoting a fight this big. But I'm not going down there until I have a signed contract from Mayweather."
While Schaefer said he is willing to wait longer for Mayweather, he said Mosley was "getting close" to reaching the point where he will start looking for other opponents.
"Shane just wants to be in great fights," said Schaefer.

That was just hype to keep the buzz in our heads.

Floyd Mayweather has signed his bout agreement to fight Shane Mosley, who already had inked his name on the dotted line on Friday, Mosley's attorney, Judd Burstein, told FanHouse.

Burstein said that he learned of the development concerning Mayweather (pictured right) from Mosley's promoter, Golden Boy Promotions' CEO Richard Shaefer, which should set in motion the promotional and marketing of their bout to take place on May 1 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

"Richard Schaefer just called me and told me that [Mayweather's adviser] Al Haymon called him, and it's [the bout agreement] is being faxed," said Burstein, with whom Mosley signed his part of the deal on Friday in Las Vegas.

"I'm ecstatic. Shane and I have been together for seven years, and I love him as a client, and he's going to show the world how great that he is," said Burstein. "A lot of credit goes to Richard Schaefer. We work together beautifully. And Al Haymon has proven that my assessment of him as a real, straight shooter and a good guy are correct. He came through."
pac vs clottey is called The Event. PBF-Mosley should be dubbed The MAIN Event.

PBF takes this.

Should be worth our money. GBP is going to stack the fight with a great Hispanic undercard. It's for sure money.

Actually a good fight and with Manny vs Clottey, if they both win out, PBF vs Manny will be even bigger than if they got their act 2gether for a March fight.
And not to change the subject..but Roy Jones Jr vs B-Hop is April 3 and Kelly Pavlik vs Sergio Martinez is April 17 in Atlantic City(for all of the East Coast fans who may want to take a trip down there.)

Odds stacked against RJJ. If that fight goes the way everyone expects it to RJJ is going to walk off in the sunset as a beaten man.
