I just got a great deal on a pair of Gucci loafers (called "college" -- bamboo horse bit loafers, with a multi-pieced, sewn in sole). However, after only an hour of wearing them in NYC streets, I came across a problem: The leather heals and toes are getting worn, because of the style of the rubber sole.
Does anyone have any recommendations? I brought it to a shoe repair shop, which recommended that we place rubber on top of a portion of, or the entire sole. But, this is very tacky looking.
I'm sure others have had this problem before, since the shoes are really not designed too well from this perspective. What did you do, or what would you recommend I do?!
Thanks!!
