Same cap cost; same mileage allowance; same length of contract.
Neither party disclosed the money factor, though I don't reckon it differs wildly.
Anyhow, by my calculation the Porsche will end up costing - gasp - $17K more !
That would be without BMW "free" maintenance factored in, btw.
As far as Panamera goes, the extrerior is fairly tolerable in real life.
The optional Burmester sound system is said to be nucking futs

If you have to worry about depreciation, you're obviously not Porsche material. Smalltimer.

Depreciation is what affects the amount of your monthly payment.
That and the interest rate.
Which is why credit arms of respective car companies would artificially inflate the residuals so as to make their leasing packages attractive.
In the end they'd still end up taking it **********, so all these frivolous fees come into play to try and offset somewhat future losses.
Another reason why most leases tend to be structured around 24/36/39 months.
Auto companies expect vehicles coming off lease to have a sane amount of miles on the clock so as to certify and flip'em.
In terms of Porsche, I could give a radical shi'ite about owning a Pig a.k.a. Cayenne given its Chrysler-like reliability and resale coupled with Maserati-like cost of upkeep.

I've looked at it and sat in it many times. To me, it looks worse in real life than it does in photos. Nice interior for sure, but the exterior is just hideous, IMO. I've always been a huge fan of Porsche but this car is a fail, at least for me.

Trend in this moment is Auto similar of BMW 550i GT, Audi A5 Sportback, Porsche Panamera! A5 look most normal and can to have Quattro, 550i GT look not so good and cannot to have xDrive in this moment at the least, Panamera look little more normal when see in real and not in picture and can to have 4 wheels drive!

I test drove the 4S over the holidays and actually found it to be even more awkward and misproportioned in person. The cabin space is excellent, although as previously commented the button layout is insanely busy. Rear seats are exceptionally comfortable, although I'm only 5'10" and think that taller passengers may have an issue. The 3D sat nav was very cool, although this will make its way throughout the line-up. Overall, I wasn't impressed with the driving experience either. Steering is very linear, although road feel isn't nearly as communicative as in the 911 or Cayman. It's one fast car, but no true Porsche.

This is Porsche's Bangle-car, so no wonder they need to release the new 928 in order to spread out platform development costs. In this bracket, the Quattroporte is still the winner IMO.

I think so, too. The Quattroporte is good all around.

While I wouldn't say that Porsche is not without a certain charm, I don't think I'd drive it, just not crazy about that back end.

How can you expect it to look good when its name is a perfect blend of "Connemare" and "Panera". It's like their unconsumated lovechild.

I like it. Rear end reminds me of a 928.

There's even a cheaper alternative such as E-class AMG that can ordered with uncorked motor good for 185MPH.
With the Merc you know it'd still track like a locomotive @ that speed.
Not sure if I won't be nervous in a Maser travelling @ 170MPH

The new 928 should be released in about 18 months as a 2012 model. It's Porsche's 3rd front-engine model and will share the same platform as the Panamera. So far looks like a stunner.
