I just got a great deal on a white linen sportcoat and was wondering you you wear yours? I was thinking of light jeans, pink polo, and not sure what type of shoes. Your help is appreciated.

I would personally avoid the pink polo or shirt (or any other bright or pastel color), which may end up looking very "Miami Vice"

Better that you display a little originality. On the gravest days of winter I put on my gray flannels, a cashmere tie in a sober color and my white linen jacket. The pants keep me warm. The tie gains me entrée into good restaurants. The blazer reminds me that summer will come again.

For summer months, personally, I could see it with medium blue or dark jeans, and contrasting (either brightly colored or dark colored) button up casual shirt. Lots of latitude with shoes. What do you typically wear with jeans?

More ideas, from the polo website:

For shoes with a white linen jacket: bucks, spectators, woven shoes (if the latter are your thing).
