Looking to try out a new hairstyle

So basically I'm not exactly happy with my hairstyle now (I never really have had one that I liked). I really admire the hair of Jim Halpert from The Office if any of you have seen that show, you know what I'm talking about. If not, here's a picture for reference: It kind of has the "my hair looks good without putting too much effort into it" thing going for it. Any ideas on how I can recreate it (like what type of haircut to ask for when I go to Great Clips and what type of hair products would complete it)? Thanks for your help!

How old are you? You do realize that he is a TV character!

You're point being? What am I immature because I admire a hairstyle?

If you have something productive to add to my thread, say it.

Otherwise, stop spamming up my thread. Seriously, grow up dude.

Actually, it kind of has the "I'm too poor to go to a stylist or barber so I use a Flowbee" look to it. I think it's terrible and wouldn't wish that hairstyle on my worst enemy.

I appreciate your input, but I was hoping for advice as to how to recreate it. I admire it and that's all that matters for me. Nonetheless, thanks for at least staying relatively on the subject.

To create Jim's hair, just put a baseball cap on for a while in your bathroom or before you are seen in public to get the wings on the side of your head. You can gel the wings with a little gel if you want but this is optional. After you have put on the baseball cap for a while take it off to check and see if the wings are ready, if they are make sure the line in your hair from the pressure of the lining of the cap is a little messed up so it doesn't look like you had a cap on. (You should do this after getting out of the shower)

El oh el.

Perhaps I'm the one who is missing something. This actually appears to be a fairly common request.

I guess that could work, I just was hoping I could do it myself and save myself the embarrasment of having an 'idol'. That's what the internet is good for, asking embarrasing questions without any repercussions.

I can't wait until you have an identity crisis when you turn 40 or so after you've realized that you lived your life by GQ and Men's Vogue. Enjoy your density while it last you Yuppie.
