I don't think a great player will burst onto the scene to challenge federer, its more likely federer will come back to the crowd. Certainly a healthy nadal at the french can beat him but federer has to be the favorite right now to win wimbledon and the us open. we've been to the men's semifinals at the us open for the last 10 years but never bothered with the finals (though I regretted selling my tickets for the last federer/sampras match). Should federer win the french, I'm going to immediately buy tickets for the finals on the chance that we'll see him compete for the grand slam.
