I have some half siblings, I don't know how many, but at least 3. never met them. I just saw a picture of one, and it totally freaked me out - he looks even more like my dad than I do (and I look a lot like him). really, really wierd.

This was a gift from my boss. I kept it for a few months before I just sold it. It is pretty solid. Made in USA. You can't beat the quality. If I needed a sterling silver money clip I would buy a...

I just picked this up and I am pretty pleased. Just what I expected. I am pleased with the Bark. However, I wish it was a little darker. A great deal for $35. Comparable to other belts in the...

Wow! Did you know about them before just now? One set of my cousins found out a few years ago that their mother (my aunt) had a baby while their father was overseas in the Army. The infant was given up for adoption, but he never left the county; lived the whole time less than 20 miles away from my cousins! Once they got over the initial shock, some of the cousins have accepted the half-brother into their clan. A couple won't give him the time of day.

when my family split up when I was 14 or 15 I heard about one, who sort of disappeared - my father never had contact with them, and never found them. she would be about 60 now.
a couple of years ago, my dad told me that 2 kids who had belonged to a woman he had lived with in the 50's, but not his, had contacted him when the mother died. he told me that when they were little he was sort of like their step dad. i was never sure if that was the case, or they were biological.
anyway, havne't thought about it since.
today my wife was looking at my sister's face book page (my full sister, the cunt, who I am theoretically in touch with but apperently has met my half siblings without telling me about it) and saw pictures of some people who are amazingly like my dad in apperance. totally freaked me out.

I have a half-sister who I didn't know about until college. No big drama: my father was married to a woman, they had a child, they divorced. Later my dad met my mom and that was that. But he didn't really have any contact with her I think because of his (our) moving around all the time. But ultimately I don't know the whole story of their history. (I only found out last month why my dad and his first wife divorced.)
I have met her and her husband and her two daughters. That was many many years ago, though, and we don't really talk much at all. We're "friends" on Facebook and that's it.

my dad's brother died couple of years ago, and he was one troubled guy with all his womanizing, abandoning his wife, brought his own business to the ground.... anyway when he died we (along with his kids) found out that he had kids from another woman, and they were as old as my cousins. imagine the drama at the wake.

Interesting to see how common this is.
I have a half brother. My mom gave him up for adoption when she was 19. He turned up when he was in his thirties. He is a farmer and lives outside a tiny town in Illinois. Trapped animals for pelts as a teenager to make money. In spite of having a totally different life experience from me and my full brother, we have very similar outlooks and get along very well.
