Have to say that I like the arm garter thing. But otherwise, that was a disappointment. We will be covering the brands at Capsule and a few other things, very possibly a member's very decent traditional+ shoe line, Wings+Horns, possibly the stuff at The News, etc... Watch for it. We've been preparing to do something I think that you will all like.

If we could afford it, we'd cover the Paris shows as well, but hey, we are too poor to do that.

Why does Gaultier even have a mens show? I've never heard of a single store stocking JPG mens other than Zappos.

Riccardi's in Boston, MAC in SF, Maxfield and Traffic (I think, still) in LA, and Saks in NYC and LA. That's 5 or 6 more places. There are a bunch more places in LA, but I can't remember the names. Arghhh.

I will be at New York Fashion Week. Look for the Stetson and a judgmental, pale, vaguely Oriental face.

Is there a definitive online location for viewing photos from the shows? I used to use http://www.gq.com/fashion-shows but it's unreliable now.

Agree about the Spring season... a lot of dull mess. Looking forward to Ferré again, as I've really liked what the new designers are doing there. Valentino is conspicuously absent AGAIN... I've heard they're re-structuring their menswear, but there is almost no press or anything about their collection. As for the others, I'm hoping for some surprises. The second season in during lots of economic turmoil often produces some unique stuff, especially from "smaller" players, who realize it's sink or swim. This produces sometimes too-safe collections, but also sometimes really pushes the designers to get creative, wearable, and something that people might want to purchase. As for the earlier mention of Gaultier, he's actually had something of a revival over the past few years, with some really well-received menswear collections. I still think the vast majority of his business is in France/europe, but he's definitely not just a capsule collection. Others I always like to watch: Costume national, Givenchy, Prada (even though I've not bought anything from Prada in 5 years), Bottega Veneta, McQueen.

dont see lanvin in NY either... riccardi's sells JP Gaultier? i just bought something from them recently and i dont remember seeing any JPG on their website.
