Iphone or Blackberry Bold? - Page 2

I had AT&T for 4 years. I can't recall a single time, not one, that I didn't have excellent service and internet access-unless in an elevator-across multiple states. AT&T has excellent service IMO.

Theres a difference between service and coverage. Sure call quality and voice is GREAT when you are in a covered area.

Once you get outside that area, NOTHING works. Disappointing.

(x-posted) I know the iPhone is being tested on the local Verizon network. Quaalcom has made CDMA chipset for the iPhone and they've seeded a handful of phones into the market to de-bug. Verizon bigwigs are carrying them. Word is the iPhone comes to Verizon in 6 months.

Haha... there goes whatever advantage Verizon had in network availability/reliability...

They seem to have pretty solid coverage areas.

Have a basic BB from AT&T, voice, mail & coverage seem generally fine, what really blows is mobile internet.

I've always had AT&T, and the service was excellent with my BB. With my iPhone it's terrible, especially when attending sporting events. I could always check scores, e-mail, etc. at sporting events on my BB, but I can't with the iPhone. There are many other times and places where my service is also poor on my iPhone, a problem I didn't have with the BB.
