I dont really agree with the idea that cuffs make someone look shorter. They certainly improve the look a 'light break' creates and makes the pant seem finished to me.

Lilac lives every day like it's Pitti.

Some great looks today, guys. May have to sit this out; there's some flooding I got to handle in Berkeley...

No spring fit for me. Its 35. It was 70 yesterday morning

Trying to get a little more wear out of the winter digs.

Panta raw silk tie is all

Spring Fever...
Setting the self timer... oops... Better than planned, except for the baby handprints all over the mirror...

Break time...

Deets:

Hmmmm... SF will probably tell me that the pattern in the tie and shirt are too close in scale... Maybe a sockless, knit tie alternate will improve my odds...

Alternate deets:

Have a great spring everyone!

Funny, because that was exactly what I was thinking while scrolling down, and then read this.

The second look is really great! I rarely like the peak lapel but you pull it off nicely.

Inlandisland Very nice, some seriously spikey lapels!ndw - I was fooled into liking the first one with a "pink" tie too! haha

PandArts The tie had to go...now you're just clearly pandering for some "positive" reviews. Without the tie, it is much improved. However, your pictures, IMHO, are more at home in the wintertime...kind of cold and stark....which is great..but it ain't spring.

Well I wouldn't say I was "pandering" just posting the edited look, which can still be bad even if improved sans tie. It is true I'm not much for a ton of colour in a fit but I think I can still dress for spring. I still love the tie and only wish that I could have found it on the clearance rack at my local TJ Maxx The thing about this tie is that, if worn, it needs to be the element of colour. In today's first try there was just too much going on with the brighter blue of the suit, the pink gingham shirt and the purple/blue/grey striped ps.

PandArts Wow, I was just going back through the posts to look at the tie and you took down your post! Weak sauce.... From my memory of the tie, I cannot imagine a serious scenario where it would look good, although now, I can neither confirm nor deny that thought.

Cheers - I think it's just stance (legg at angle and leaning back slightly) - hacking pockets seem to exaggerate stance issues (although it's obviously not a problem IRL).
