ThinWhiteDuke Not feeling that jacket or the PS here. I like the rest of the 'fit very much...although, I wonder how well the shirt pattern flows into the pant pattern...

lighter washed jeans are not bad. they provide a contrast especially with navy or gray jackets. its just that it is easier to screw up with lighter wash jeans than with the dark washes.

still hunting for my go-to light wash jeans.

100% great. Love all aspects of this fit, esp. the shoe choice. Whatever it is, it seems unlikely to change anytime soon. However, I will say this, even I thought it was a touch excessive with the dark grey windowpane odd jacket today when I saw the photos and will probably rotate that particular jacket out at some point over this year. I'm probably going to get a new dark grey casual suit for next autumn, with a pattern that I can wear either as an odd jacket or a full suit. Once I get that, the jacket I wore today will be sold. (/hears cheers in the background!) And thank you for the o/o comparison. BTW, your Aldens today are probably the first pair of Aldens I've seen that I can see myself wearing. Very nice indeed. This is you at your best, I think. Chilled-out, but smart with it. Brave of you to post it in the CBD thread too, though. Would like this more with brown instead of baby blue shoes/belt. I have to agree...each piece is fantastic...especially that tie However, something about the slanted pocket / single button combo creates the illusion of a bulge in the stomach area. That said, it could just be the stance...I LOVE every single piece.

I don't have many opportunities to post in that thread, and I wanted to sneak in a spring look with suede shoes...

" Funny you should say that, I was thinking, "What no cuffs on Mike's pants!" My tailor kind of discouraged cuffs saying they can make one seem shorter and squattier. I am 5'10" with a slenderish build so I don't think that isn't much of an issue for me, but I feel it depends on the particular trousers/slacks for me. I like yours the way they are, also love the shoes.
