Nice colour combo.

I may be in a minority here (won't be the first time! ) but I don't understand the acceptance/praise that this form of tie knot gets on SF. A traditional FIH would look much better IMO. Exposing the inner loop may seem like an affectation of higher style but to me it just looks like you don't know how to tie a tie properly.

welcome to the thread. suit looks a bit lifeless. I cant put my finger on what is wrong, but it just doesn't jive. I think it might be just the cut of it. Maybe a better fitting jacket would make it more awesome. keep posting - lots to learn around here.

I don't like white pocket squares with different colored edges, but that's just an opinion, and not a criticism of the color coordination, which is pretty good.

Thanks, appreciate the input. The suit is actually the same one posted the other day. The shoulders are a bit on the big side.

Honestly, if I had all this in my closet I'd have worn this with a much lighter shirt and suit, but I'm making do.

Thanks. I get your comment on the tie as well. Personally, I think it helps fill out the knot a wee bit and has a bit of a playful look to it. I'm already over-dressed compared to a lot of people in my office, so I suppose I have a bit of a tendency towards trying to dress it down a bit.

I've wondered about a striped shirt with that Jacket pattern but still not sure. I will wait to hear others chime in as I would lean to a solid colored shirt. Donning the penny loafers again I see.

It is very subtle, and it is an oxford cloth. I think it works fine and is not too busy or distracting.

Good eye - I've thought the jacket could be brought up a half-inch too, but haven't gotten around to it

An old vintage number I scored. Had the leg opening taken it a bit - it was 12".

I noticed that some jacket shoulder pads get a crease in them over time. When I raise my arm, the shoulder gets all lumpy. Not sure if there's anything that can be done about that

I had to crop so much, the picture looked all pixelated, like an 80s videogame. Had to blur it a little just to prevent everyone from getting cross-eyed.

I like everything except the MONSTER cuffs on the trousers. It distracts a lot and in a bad way. Consider smaller cuffs, Mike -- 1.5-1.75".

2 inches. I like them.

But, thanks for the kudos!

Full fit pic was blurry and I was hurried at lunch so obligatory dirty mirror shot (I think I need to add a little shape to the waist anyway). Had a brown knit chosen out , but changed it at the last minute because I thought the palette was too earthy. Any tie/shirt pairing suggestions? Fabric is a heavier hunter green linen. EDIT: Fit pic
