Thank you for commenting! While the suit worn is of average quality, I think those humps showing are perhaps more a case of traveling and poor posing? It seems I have problems of not only poor pictures, but not being able to pose naturally for shots. So much to learn...

I did have some waist suppression done to this suit, but it is possible I need more. A couple more candid shots to show the shoulders aren't as bad - but maybe the sleeves are?

Not bad at all. The shoulders may be off, but I'll give you the benefit of the doubt until you provide a full body shot. You may catch heat for that tie - the fact that it is pretty bright/light, but I like it. I don't like white pocket squares with different colored edges, but that's just an opinion, and not a criticism of the color coordination, which is pretty good.

I may be in a minority here (won't be the first time! ) but I don't understand the acceptance/praise that this form of tie knot gets on SF. A traditional FIH would look much better IMO. Exposing the inner loop may seem like an affectation of higher style but to me it just looks like you don't know how to tie a tie properly.

UC, your post processing is OD. Today for instance, i cant even tell where your lapels start and end ... lol. Or maybe i just have a bad laptop/monitor.


welcome to the thread. suit looks a bit lifeless. I cant put my finger on what is wrong, but it just doesn't jive. I think it might be just the cut of it. Maybe a better fitting jacket would make it more awesome. keep posting - lots to learn around here.


not feeling the color combo Banis. there is so much going on. the jacket is busy as is, so i'd have kept everything solid ... and a pair of pants to echo the jacket's pattern. the pants and shoes are all competing for attention with the square and jacket.


listen to UC ... get rid of this jacket. dont waste money trying to make it something it is not.

Thanks, appreciate the input. The suit is actually the same one posted the other day. The shoulders are a bit on the big side.

Honestly, if I had all this in my closet I'd have worn this with a much lighter shirt and suit, but I'm making do.


Thanks. I get your comment on the tie as well. Personally, I think it helps fill out the knot a wee bit and has a bit of a playful look to it. I'm already over-dressed compared to a lot of people in my office, so I suppose I have a bit of a tendency towards trying to dress it down a bit.

I've wondered about a striped shirt with that Jacket pattern but still not sure. I will wait to hear others chime in as I would lean to a solid colored shirt. Donning the penny loafers again I see.

It is very subtle, and it is an oxford cloth. I think it works fine and is not too busy or distracting.

An old vintage number I scored. Had the leg opening taken it a bit - it was 12".

The Armoury has a summer weight suit in this color that I covet...

I like everything except the MONSTER cuffs on the trousers. It distracts a lot and in a bad way. Consider smaller cuffs, Mike -- 1.5-1.75".
