HOF: What Are You Wearing Right Now - Part II - Page 2452

Hahaha! Looks like I need to get my ass a LOT of new ties. Oh well, this is the exact reason why I come here...to get all learned and whatnot. Thanks for the feedback.

There are a lot of really nice fits today. Taking notes on these ones!

Calling all WAYWRNers, especially those of you who know a lot about custom work.

In case you haven't seen it yet, there's a gruesome train wreck on this track: http://www.styleforum.net/showthread.php?t=232318. I could use your advice on how to clean it up.

If you've already seen it, skip to Page 2 of the thread for the latest pics.

Ok, I'll bite. First, the camera angle makes it kind of tough...especially combined with the hands in pockets and pushing outward stance going on. The fit needs some color. The arms look too big but it could be attributed to the stance. The overall jacket looks a little big through the middle and in need of some waist suppression. (hard to tell but you like the tall and thin type). Also, spread that collar.

I'm feeling you Phat. Very nice ensemble today. I'm awaiting my navy suit to return from the tailor now. I really like the way the brown contrasts with it. What's your tie material?

Nice UprCrust... I see you're getting your pink on. Don't think I've said this yet but I like the shaved look on you. Nice fit and combination today.

?? Dunno. Today: in my new Panta, though a pretty ugly knot I made in my rush this AM

It's not nuclear orange, it's nuclear peach or salmon pink . In all honesty, it's not as bright IRL as you seem to think that it is, but, if it will make you happy, I'll throw some ancient madder ties into the mix this week - non-reflective, no glare. See what a nice guy I am?

Sleeve lengths look fine IMHO in the photo shown.

Thanks, and yes, most people like the clean shaven version of me. And then there's ALWAYS Spoo . . . Dammit!

Saturday night:

A constructive criticism - there seems to be something odd with the shoulders of your suit - possibly it had been hanging for a long time on hangers ill-shaped for them - it's as if there are little humps in the middle of your shoulders.

You also appear tall and of a reasonable shape - your suit jacket certainly looks as if it could use some waist suppression - just my opinion, from the evidence shown.

If they're OTC socks, then yes, please

Thank you. I had wondered if my new taste for (relatively) subdued socks would raise a comment

Thank you. One of the various reasons I'm so fond of modern day YSL is the fabrics the chief designers favour - this wool has a warm, ever so slightly rough hand that's just shy of tweed

Chale, I dey. Always appreciate the comments and the criticism, but I refuse to let your favourite tailor put me in any more tight fit trousers

The second pair (YSL again) could be modified for a bootcut - they're admittedly not as fun as the brown and light grey pairs I used to wear in my older posts
