You would benefit from the texture and contrast of the white linen.

Very nice jacket!

Thanks, PSG.

The tie is actually black, and the square is linen with a very faint windowpane through it...if that makes any difference. Any sheen is an artifact of lighting and camera.

^I like Mike (and I know you'll disagree) but I would have lost the PS. Jacket is visually interesting enough.

I did not even notice the lenght. Take that as a sign that it works. It also seems to downplay issues you have shown in the past with the lower half of your fits.

You may be right with the square (even though I know you often bypass squares out of preference), but I had this pink linen square that Spoo sent me sitting in the drawer, and it worked well with the pink windowpane.....so, there you have it.

Org, that jacket just looks too small for you. The tight fit, lower gorge and fish mouth notch make you look almost hunched over. Are you carrying an invisible weight on your back?

Yes it does. Please, promise me that you will never wear a window pane shirt, tie or pocket square with that jacket ever again.

LOL. It is a very large scale windowpane and it is incredibly faint. For all intents and purposes, it is a solid.

RLPL, yes, but heavy linen.

It looks more or less identical to the one Sartorialism is selling but his is a three-piece silk. Today's outfit is great, Mike.

Thanks, Mac. I have three or four of these POWs from Ralph. They are all very similar, but just different enough. The rest are Polo though. This is one of my favorite patterns of all time.

I love it too. Might pick one up if I can snag it in a 44L. Where's the blue shirt from? I love the collar.

That is an El Cheapo Hilfiger Ithaca in the "slim fit," which ain't that slim in all sincerity. Still, I have a 5 or 6 of these Hilfigers and they are pretty decent, especially for what they cost. Only one fell apart afte the first washing.

Is the shirt in the detail shot the one you're wearing? In the main shot the tie is too bold against what appears to be a white shirt, but the tie works well against the blue in the detail shot.

I like it all apart from the tie (the tie clashes horribly with the SC IMO).

Today, brown in town:

Also, do you think the white of the helmet is too matchy-matchy with the shirt?

Thanks. Wasn't totally sure about the shirt myself at first but eventually decided it was OK.

Top marks for execution (though shirt sleeves perhaps a little long?). The patch pockets, particularly the breast pocket, seem very prominent on the SC - is that just from very heavy/thick cloth?

+1 The subtler your fits get Spoo (and this is itself a good example), the better they get.
