Sugarbutch, I wonder if you have a habit of standing more upright for your pictures than IRL. If so, that would create the appearance of a short front/long back balance problem with your coats, which (depending on the coat) would tend to make the quarters appear more closed or create those back/side ripples, or both.

here is a well dressed man (yeah I know most here will think it's too boring). At first glance nothing stands out but the fit. Everything fits well, nothing overly sharp or tight. Then as you look closer you notice patterns/textures. A great brown grenadine adds texture and a bit of pop to the outfit. The jacket and shirt are both patterned, but neither so garishly nor loudly that they clash. can't tell about the shoes but the color works with everything else. Other than the tie and the pants, I probably would not wear any of these but it works great here. Basically, here the man comes first (that's what she said!) and the clothes second. Stands out in a quiet way, if that makes sense.

iLike Nii. You could take over for the Old Spice guy in the commercials with that come hither look

The orange tie gives this a nice pop.

If you see any black boots in a UK 11 and don't mind posting please PM me!

The camera or my monitor lied - cream sounds good!

Nice fabric, but that button is definitely pulling.

I think this works even better than the black shirt version.

There's a lot of pattern going on here, but it is pretty subtle so I think you just pull it off. A solid shirt or tie would probably be better though

^Nice, Nii. Another light grey suit look to DTO. Can I ask what kicks those were you posted on the blog with the blue suit and bowtie?

Great tie. Quit posing next to food we know you can't afford.

Thank you. PS is actually cream, but as commented below, probably not even necessary in the first place

I like the jeans with the SC. Looks cool. However, while dress trousers might nor might not have a belt, jeans always should.

Also, the pocket square is nice. With jeans, I'd say it's unnecessary, but if you want to dandy it up, who am I to say?
Cheers! Appreciate the tips. Duly noted

That's the plan!

Whilst it's fine to wear jeans without a belt, with an SC I think you need one, and for an SC I think the jeans could do with being just a little shorter. PS isn't really needed but I don't think it looks out of place in the way a tie would.

Thanks MoK! Tailor suggested adding a band in the lining to attach the two flaps together. Didn't think the button needed adjusting (or just didn't want to do it?).

And agreed that the jeans are too long - I've never hemmed jeans before, and usually have rolled up this new pair. Apparently forgot before the pics.

A new post SF suit (same maker as SC, purchased same time). Looking for more fit advice, etc before I get any more pieces. Feedback so far has been very appreciated!

Overcast today, with a few snow flurries. Blurs on or about the suit are just snow. Apologies for my right trouser getting mangled with my shoe. Better PS for the close up than in the full shots.

Thanks for the compliments Ed. I don't talk much here, so I don't think stuff gets quoted that much because of that. Also - I don't think I'm really dandyfied enough for SF either. Sorry for the shitty pic quality - light in the morning was brutal today.

Thanks MoK, you've been my favorite poster around here lately, except for those skinny pants on SWD lol.

Ugh really? Not a suit fabric IMO.
