Nothing special...just one of my poor man's watches...Stührling Original "Open-Heart" automatic with a regulator dial...

1. i just quit it sucks

2. too bad, i got excited for a second on the watch, thought it may have been a tourbillon

1. I quit back on 03 to buy a G5 while I was still in school and said that I'd start again once I paid off the loan or turned 40. I paid the loan off about a year before I turned 40 but stuck out the last year and started again last May...now I'll quit when I'm 50

2. Stührling does make tourbillons but, as you can imagine, they're not as cheap as plain ole open-hearts...though they are far less expensive than higher-end brands. I've seen some Stührling tourbillons in the $300 to $400 range.

Because the suit has a plain heather look it might benefit from an end-on-end in more of a medium blue. The end-on-end gives a visual texture that is nice with any solid or heather suit.

For the pocket square, simply brown and cream might be a bit plain for that cloth. Look for brown and cream but with bits of muted burgundy/red, navy/teal and gold in the pattern for contrast. Those colors will add more personality but when muted they won't be garish.

I have a big collection of ties, but still only a few pocket squares... brown and cream will be on my list.
Thanks!

This was a compliment by the way. I love the look, and not many people can rock it like you do. Just once I want to see you in an Olive, notched lapel suit with the sunglasses, tie bar, and ear piece. Seriously...it would be my inaugural avatar on this site.

I didn't take it as an insult but I've received like 6 PM's over the last two weeks with similar comments To be honest I was toying with the idea of DTOing Agent Smith for the Celebrity challenge from two Friday's ago.

I really don't know a heck about watches and movements I usually just buy ones that 1) I like the style/design of and 2) I can afford

One day, baggy and loose will come back into style, and then I'll finally be ahead of the curve instead of miles behind it.

Shirt is actually pale cream rather than white. Stark white would be too much much contrast, I agree. Perhaps true cream would be even better, but I dislike the stronger/more-yellowy creams against my skin colour.

What's the red detailing on the sleeve?

Little red x's. The Holland Esq. designers must have been feeling funky that day. They're also at some of the pocket edges and the lapel buttonhole. The final buttonhole of the sleeve is done in yellow thread too. All very amusing.

Over here, there are vague noises about forcing cigarettes to be sold in plain unbranded cardboard containers. If that ever happens in the States, you better stock up on the brown ties!

Alas! The tobacco lobbies in this country are far to powerful for such a thing to ever happen...especially after they were finally forced to remove terms such as "Lights" and "Ultra Lights" from labels. Just wonder though how one would be able to tell if what they were getting were SIlk Cut of B&H Golds And if ever there was an excuse/insentive to buy more ties, especially brown ones...this one would certainly be a darn good one

I have only ever found them at TK Max!
That said one of my well-healed though slightly inebriated customers, seemed to know all about them as a mid-range shoe company.
I have the same model in brown pebble grain, a pair of burgundy semi-brogues and a nice pair of chukka boots...all reduced to next to nothing...I think original retail is around £160-£200?
Both the Long-Wings have commando soles (the ridged rubber tread) , the chukkas have the same chunky double sole & the brogues are fairly sleek by comparison, though in need of a resole.
Hope that helps.

I saw them there recently and am toying with picking up a pair of boots

Sir! Please refrain from speaking my thoughts before I have a chance to post them!

A bit of the tweed for the rainy day. I'm not sure what's going on with the waist in the first picture. The SC isn't tight, and although I do think it could stand a couple of alterations, I swear that this isn't how it looks typically. (Note the open quarters, Nii... )

Nice to have you back in the thread. I liked quite a lot of these, but this suit/shirt/tie/lack-of-PS combination is fantastic. I disagree with the shoes and lack of socks, but you knew that already.

Nice combining, SB. I know you issued a disclamier, but something is really off in the midsection of that SC.
