Well, unless it's CL or LT for vacation, it's a fail! (And, didn't YOU mama tell you to smile?!)

This guy's going to start modeling my stuff. He makes it all look so damn good!!! (For all you admirers, there's more where that came from...)

I think you should shave your head too. Unless the horseshoe is keeping the back of your skull warm.

This is my favorite. It has a nice "atmosphere."

That radical a remodeling of my image is not in scope at present, and as it happens, it's still cold in NYC - hair IS insulation, even a horseshoe thereof.

Glad you liked the theme enough to enter!

Simple, but it seems to work just fine.

This is good....I like this. So simple, so conservative, so urban, so pure.....like fine Colombian cocaine.

It just screams, "get away from my car, dirty hippy! No I don't care to help save the environment and you're making me late for work.....credit default swap derivatives wait for no one!"

That's a fine three-piece you have there....the best one I've seen on here in a while and don't care what anyone else says.

Now that I've said my piece, I think I'll go back to sniff'n gas fumes.

Suit yourself, I just think it adds years to your appearance. You could always wear more hats to keep the noggin warm.

Excellent suit! Even the shirt looks good. It's a rare fit of yours that I like in its entirety.

Sorry to interrupt the nature challenge. Second posting here ... interview today. Changed back to office setting = recruiter I'm meeting with told me unfortunately I'd now have to where "khakis". Went back and forth on tie selection. Fixed my socks. Still need to figure out how to get better lighting and better pictures in general. All comments welcome! [/SPOILER]
Sorry, I'm not a fan of this. Your sense of color coordination is very good. The overall components are pretty classic and safe, but the fit is off. Look how the jacket's quarters don't hug your hips. The shoulders are far from stellar. Overall, your look needs a tailor; a good one, too.

I'm seriously amazed that I received so many comments about it being a tight fit. It's fitted, bur far from being skin tight. In fact, this jacket is one of the roomiest I own. Nonetheless, I'm glad, because I've always liked slim clothes. Thank you for the compliment!

As far as the Jacket goes, it was picked up recently on ebay and from what I can tell is actually from 1973. Looking at it now after some discussion and other things, the lapels are huge, but I like it, mostly because of the fit. I was thinking about replacing the shoulder pads and shortening the sleeves though. I didn't. As above, that's part of the reason for posting it ahead of time. My shoe choices are rather limited thus far, but I'm working on that. I ended up in the same pair of shoes I've had on half of the week. For the shirt I took Spoo's advice and went cream. The shirt seems a bit loose to my taste, but I bought it when I was about 30 lbs heavier. Here's how it came out. The first two are before leaving the house this morning. Apparently I left my hat in the car, so it came along, thus I got pictures outside a few minutes ago. Thanks.
Looks good, but you need to work on fit. Congratulations on losing weight, now take your clothes to the tailor and lose some money too!

Again I appreciate everyone's feedback. It's a new suit that has been to the tailor, and one that I thought was good and had gotten good reviews here. I think I have much much more to learn than I even thought! (which I knew was a lot to begin with, so this is all okay) I have no problems taking all the advice, sorting through it and then applying it.

Playing around with a couple new pictures and a self-timer app. If I should post these in a separate thread, please let me know. I'm not trying to be defensive, but just trying to learn - do any of these shots make any difference?

As for "atrocious" in terms of the shirt, jacket and pants, please articulate - are we talking too loose, or some other measurement of atrocity. For the record, I am not in the least offended by the observation - I am genuinely interested in what exactly you're seeing that you don't like.

Well, I sent you a PM with some thoughts and examples.

Yup. And I also feel that the shirt looks more than a little big.

Thank you for the PM, Metlin - it's been a crazy day, and I've not had a chance to reply.

As it is, I've not worn today's suit for nearly a year, and when I put it on this AM, I had thought that it looked boxier than I had remembered, so your comments were not entirely surprising to me.

As for the shirt, it was made for me years ago, in my standard size at Brooks, which is a very full cut (and there are times when I am a very full-figured person, though rather less these days).

Not an entry for Friday Challenge...

I'm looking for some feedback on the fit of this suit. Seeing it in this picture, it looks different than it does in the mirror. Maybe take up the cuffs just a bit more on the trousers? Too boxy through the waist? Have at it, but I hope that the criticism will be constructive and, better still, helpful.

This looks a little better. Maybe it's the pictures after all, but until you post better ones we won't be able to tell.

This looks great! I will say something that will go against the group think, but I do think you would look better in a slightly shorter jacket. Your legs would seem longer and the silhouette leaner.

Looks good to me. Maybe you could take in the waist just a touch. Frikkin' love the tie...
