Weather - I was not wearing that suit (or anything in that pic ) yesterday. I was merely trying it on.

Took and posted a pic here to get some comments and opinions.

Knit Tie and Color of Shoes - As I said earlier only this tie and the same tie in green color were available at the time of pic. So chose the blue knit. That said, I dont find anything wrong with it. Its a patch pocket flannel suit so IMO it is a more casual suit and as such I have no objection to a knit tie.

In India, suits are only worn in winters so theres hardly any concept of summer/spring/autumn/winter ties.

However, I agree that I should have worn brown shoes since they would be more casual than black shoes and the whole outfit is of a casual nature.

Basically, for me both of these work

1. Same suit, white shirt, navy silk tie (not knit), black shoes

2. Same suit, same shirt, same knit tie but brown shoes (captoe derby).

I have started disliking captoe oxfords and just sold my pair of CJ Hallam and currently the closest brown shoe which I could have worn is a CJ Lowndes. I will probably get a CJ Bradford/Prestwood and this problem would then be solved.

I know the logic above is faulty

Don't know, the color of the suit looks closer to the real thing but the blue of the shirt is totally gone now. As it is, the pic was taken at EV+1 since it was coming out too dark otherwise.

Thanks. Foo is a well-dressed guy, so I'll take it as a compliment. Though I'm not sure what in the world makes you say that, either.

Thanks. Had a devil of a time with pocket squares this morning, but finally settled on that one.

I'll have to hunt around for better pics of the shoes. I may have to take some.
