Changing the buttons would lessen the formality and make it more of a 'summer' jacket. It would look nice! Go for it, Cal!!

Perfect balance and contrast of blues, stripes, solids, and checks.

nice pants spoo.

I don't know about the shirt- first I thought there was something wrong with the pattern. I would have liked simpler, mor symetric stripes better.

With all due respect, the shorts here look to have just been hemmed from an ill-fitting pant without the needed alterations in length and width. Slimmer and shorter and maybe one pleat and a cuff would have done wonders for the fit and swapping the sneaks out for some canvas shoes and I'd be all in. The only thing good is the top half.
incongruous? true sneakers? true still. I like the shorts. I have never seen/noticed shorts with pleats before. Sure looks good to me.

Casual Friday, I guess. I am just happy this week is almost over and I can get some sleep over the weekend.

Oh, Spoo, while it may be true that I have not had a vacation in close to a decade, and I am not in a position to fire people (not that I would enjoy that anyway), I can drink as much as I would like at work.....so life does have it perks.

Have a good one!
