I believe its an after diner button, designed to give the jacket a wider fit after meals.

"And ftr, I'm not defending myself or arguing for its own sake. I think I can hold my own on some topics and I'd post the same response had the critique been directed at any other poster. A stupid, arrogant (note the lack of an "imo" or other qualifier, instead of just positive fact-like assertions) response is a stupid response."

IMHO using qualifiers is redundant here as we're mostly assessing color schemes, fits, and combinations: these are not facts, so it will always be "IMO."

One of your best posts. The vest adds authority. I love this pocket square. Clever!

^Not really feelin the combo. Maybe switch to plain white shirt and lose the tie. Or just lose the sweater. I like a splash of color too but the yellow is a bit too much IMO.

Thx, man.

Mike

I'll draft an amicus brief.

And wtf is "just say thanks?" Have I been rebuked by a style god?

Sorry for the tone of this response, but at times the arrogance and stupidity expressed here can be just too much...

^FWIW - the jacket does look too big, but the overall problem is that the photos are not good and you cant really tell anything, and this is pretty typical with all of your WAYWN posts. Further, lashing out and getting immediately defensive doesn't help your case. It will just turn people away from trying to offer you advice. I think nii was just trying to help you out. The best way to prove him wrong would be to try and capture some better pictures.

I would like to see this without the top button fastened. Colors are nice, fit looks pretty good and I see a SF approved knot and collar.

It's a 3 roll 2, but the bottom button disappears in this photo.

Unbutton the top button, shoot again and report back.
