Oh man that sucks to hear considering it's actually one of my most expensive ties. Guess I'm still developing my tie-buying eye.. Less busy fit coming later, thanks ndw and Urban for the comments.

Hey it needn't be a compliment or an insult. Just a recommendation for a new outfit. You look fine in your current attire. But why not mix it up a little bit? Considering that I'm not keeping notes, it seems that every single day you just post the exact same pictures (with the suits sometimes varying in their shades of gray). Why not get some color? Another type of suit? If nothing else, at least give me a new pose! So no insult intended whatsoever, God forbid. Just yawning out loud.

I love how you can have two sartorial extremes in one picture. Baller in the foreground, douchenozzle in the rear.

Solid! I'm on the hunt for a three-piece, and this only reinforces my thinking.

Careful what you wish for

But seriously I do see and understand your point and wasn't at all insulted or offended. I took it in a positive light as far as finally reaching some level of consistency in my fits and style. I'd love to add some 3 Pieces and even perhaps a DB in the future but before I can expand the range of suit styles I first need to build a solid base. Yeah and I also tend to prefer blues and greys as far as suits go, most of my colour comes in the form of shirts and ties but I need to relearn how to incorporate them into my fits and style. Again, I appreciate your candor and suggestions and out loud yawing

Double breasted badassery. Really like it.

Thanks. The scarf is cashmere, so is the DB. I like how this stuff feels and falls.

Interesting point. The shoulders are unpadded and what you see is my natural shoulder line (so, not that smooth), if that's what you're talking about. If I'd wear padded shoulders they look as if they were in a right angle what makes me really look boxy. Or were you talking about something different?

also ditch the gadgety zip up sweaters and the like, underneath sports coats. go with a simple solid dress, well fitting s/c and you would look significantly well put together.

Stop hating my sweaters.

Do you just dislike them personally? That's okay. Because otherwise I'd have to add that I don't work in a cubicle or office or so and that my professional context is probably different from yours or the majority of the SF users who seem to work in more conservative industries. Most of my contacts are researchers, programmers, real estate and facility managers a.s.o. and I can (and often should) wear something more casual. Even for informal meetings with investors I can wear casual, it's more important that the stuff I'm wearing isn't cheap rubbish. Since I bicycle to most of my partners and customers, a sweater is really useful for insulation and heat regulation.
I remember that your avatar was Prince Charles. Then you certainly know that the Brits optimized their clothings for functionality. Therefore:
Bicycle + Sports Coat + Sweater = fully okay. In my context. Thank you for listening.

Hope I'm not coming over as pissed off or so, I'm not. Was just giving an explanation why I don't think your critique wrt sweaters fits my situation. Further comments appreciated, of course.

Without your bling you're somehow naked. Something's missing.

The sweater is very dominant. Since you want some suggestions, why not try it with very light (even white) trousers and a darker (navy?) SC?

What kind of a rule is this? I like your colours. SC looks a bit short to me, but it's not looking bad, so no problem.

Definitely looks good.

I just notice that you Merikuns are much more liberal with patch pockets. AFAIK they belong only to sports coats (at least in Europe), seeing them on a suit slightly irritates me everytime anew. But I know that's okay with you, so no prob.
