Great coat! Very English country look. I like the slanted pockets with flaps that are horizontal at their ends. Nice pattern matching as well. Would look better with the top button undone. Do you know who the maker is?

i thought it looked very similar to the PL stuff i had seen on here ... so not surprised PG had a hand in its provisioning. well played.

lapels are fine, but both of those jackets have serious shoulder issues. your jackets should sit on your neck firmly, form a smooth line to your shoulders and drape gracefully. just look at folks like someotherstyle, PG, Vox or Orgertorix's jackets and observe the smooth transition from collar to shoulder to cuff. that is what you should strive for.

also ditch the gadgety zip up sweaters and the like, underneath sports coats. go with a simple solid dress, well fitting s/c and you would look significantly well put together.

nice first post. i dont know if it is your stance of otherwise (since the issue is not present in your second pic) but in the first and third pic, you are displaying some collar gap. see if a tailor can rectify that if it is a true issue.

First post! Sorry in advance for the terrible photos; had to use my cellphones camera, which is quite terrible and does NOT have a self timer so.. No full body shots this time. Also no shoe shot because I am in my house and I don't wear my shoes inside

All comments are appreciated. Really wish I could take a full body shot right now with shoes on but it's impossible right now, so yeah.. all critique is helpful Still building my wardrobe.

Butler, killing it as always. That is one spectacular suit. Congrats to your mom on her 90th! She looks great.

All of the above and then some, Butler, for you, your suit, and your mother.

It seems to be a Sunday requiring dressing up. I am called upon to attend a ceremony of a religious nature this afternoon (a happy one), and have decided to pull out most of the sartorial stops, whether to such an elegant extent as Butler remains to be seen.

boss!! congrats to your moms.

Thank you all!

If you put me in a room with Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh and that jacket and gave me a gun with two bullets, I would shoot the jacket. Twice.

Hey sure thing, I'll include them in todays fit. I will be taking the pictures outside so hopefully the natural sunlight will improve the picture quality.

Sorry about that! I'd love any comments on the tie though, its one of my favorites. Very very nice silk, feels great just tying it.

Dialed down a bit from yesterday's extravaganza - it is Monday, after all . . .

I'd probably just shoot myself

Pattern/color looks slightly dated to me, like something you'd see Joe Namath wearing in the 70s. I probably wouldn't wear it, and that's saying a lot.

Contributing b/c I have new additions: the debut of a spread collar, and new homemade pocket square.
