Urban Comp Fantastic as always....probably the style that most closely resembles the ideal in my head.

Someotherstyle THAT is the way you do the basics with a little hint of something more - very very well done and fantastic fit...as in actual fit....and as in 'fit.

Yeah, I am phasing out the skinny lapels. I am not really that lanky though. I am tall, but a bit top heavy. I summoned the lady to take some proper pics at some point.

Unfair way of blaming Europe for your look.

How good did this work? I'm considering to shorten some of my SC but I'm unsure how far I can go and whether the results are fine. What are the critical points? How much shorter can a jacket be made? Around 1"?

I like your color choice. Blazer seems a bit wide at your neck.

I like the peaked lapels. I like the whole look, too. Relaxed, comfortable. Very important in my opinion.

That'll make it look better until you can afford a better one.

What's wrong with wearing a blazer, i.e., with golden buttons?

Also, wearing khaki chinos with a navy blazer is a little bit "average-looking sunday morning churchgoer attire" for my taste.

LOL. I guess this depends much on one's location.

But you concede it looks good! He did it; I don't know how he did it, but he did it.

Without throwing balance off, I'd say an inch at most.

Freezing this morning on the way in:

Thanks! It's actually from Banana Republic and surprisingly one of my favorites, made in Turkey label and all.

Borrelli that I got in Florence over the summer. Glad you like it.

That really is nice. I was wondering about it too.

Bleachboy Very SF approved. Cordial Churchman tie, Mabitex pants (mine in that pattern were one size too small - anyone want to swap their 32/48 for a 30/46?), cordovan shoes, currently-faddish coloured laces, no reason to dress up but doing it anyway. I like it all but the laces.

Olddog Not quite the tie and PS I'd have chosen, but it looks as if you stepped out of a Brooks Brothers or Ben Silver/Paul Stuart catalogue, possibly back as far as the 60's, up to a few years ago. Only thing that seemed to change in those shots is the fit and maybe button configuration.

Yup....I'm wearing short sleeves today since it's kinda hot where I'm at, yet I'm still required to wear a suit jacket......I promise never to do it again.

The shirt isn't silk.....just regular old combed cotton and very light...........I thought I'd wear a green shirt to match my shoes, socks and underwear......j/k.

Btw, I'm surprised no one mentioned those nasty water spots on the bathroom mirror......I never seem to have enough windex.
