HOF: What Are You Wearing Right Now - Part II - Page 2200

In giving up on not using flash, and letting the color chips fall where they may, my attire for today, revisited . . .

(Forgive the re-posting - new photos, new color harmonies - somewhere closer to real life, if such a thing exists . . .)

Thanks - The ring, well, it never comes off. Its been discussed a few times, but its just part of me at this point. The watch on the right? Im a righty, but my Dad is a lefty.. so growing up, watching him put his watch on the right just stuck.

Patrick, you have a lot of knowledge about sartorial stuff, and the few pics you do put up look interesting. I wish you could take some better pics and post them on a more regular basis.

Thanks - the soft SC takes some getting used to, thats for sure.

Welcome back, Greg. Looking great. Are you using the D40 for your shots? If so, I may PM you for some tips, if thats OK.

Good eye agent O - the PS was just a shade lighter than it should have been.

While I cant comment on re-using pics, this would definitely qualify if posted on Friday!

Thanks dudes. The sun shines on every dog's ass once in a while.

Boots are Aldens. Don't know the model - one of the Alden experts might be able to help me out.

^ Really hard to tell deets, although jacket looks a bit big as its sitting off your neck. Maybe a bit dated as thats kind of a low gorge too. Seems like you have good intentions though.

@Upr_Crust - You should download paint.net All the color balance tools you need are there and they're pretty easy to work with. There's little sliders to shift it away from Magenta/etc...

_______

And now for my own two cents.

I finally forced my lazy ass and decision-phobic self to find and get my ass over to a tailor to work on the clothing that has been accumulating for about a year now... I went to Mr. Do's, on Wisconsin Ave. in Georgetown (Washington, DC), and I need to report that I am very, very, very happy. Mr. Do is friendly and professional and has great intuition.

Best of all, when I dropped the clothing off at 1 PM today, he asked when I'd like to pick it up. Jokingly, I said I would love to wear one of the suits I dropped off to a dinner I was going to attend tonight. Without flinching he said I should come pick it up at 5 PM! And we're talking about serious alterations. I picked the suit up and, despite the four hour time limit, the work was impeccable. I wore the suit and received upward of 10 compliments on it tonight. I'm thrilled!

Long Live Mr. Do!

(Sorry about the multiple pics: it's just that 1) This is my first time wearing this suit, so I'm excited and want to show it off; 2) I'm super happy about my first successful "double FIH" tie knot. Thanks, Spoozy and SOS! It's a great look. 3) I don't really think it's so terrible to post a few pics....)

PRL suit (from the Made in the USA fully-canvassed line), Brooks Brothers tie, RLPL pocketsquare, Ike Behar shirt, Rodan antique watch, Saks shoes.

Spoo try a taller collar on your shirt, I feel like that lays too low Gregaz Deadly simple. Deadly. KtownGreg I feel like you're killing it lately. Keep it up. Although I may consider losing those boots, chucking on some brogues.
