Long time no post. I know the jacket needs to have the sleeves shortened, but how about the rest of the fit?

Welcome back. Was your tie clip $1,000USD too?

Your consolation is being back in a climate where you can wear that awesome overcoat.

Thanks. That tie is one of the first I got when I started work; Marks & Spencers.

No work today...

Not with this tie. I have tried this tie with a blue shirt and it goes from looking like a great Barba 7 fold, which it is, to a polyester special when paired with a solid blue shirt. I have paired the suit with a blue shirt though....

Thanks for the comment, and yes, you are prescient in your remarks - see below:

The tie is a printed silk, not a brocade, and striped ties of any description are very scarce on the ground in my wardrobe, as I have a penchant for striped shirts, and striped shirts and ties don't always work and play well together.

The one green regimental stripe tie that would have worked with the SC and the shirt, I wore the last time I wore the SC, hence the variation.

I was more concerned with the color combination than the levels of formality, and a printed silk tie vs. a woven silk regimental is not a difference in level of formality that I recognize - thus, I respectfully disagree, but thanks for your opinion.

HAHA well not all of us stand on street sides taking pics of ourselves smoking

But on a serious note I love the Chi! It's a great city despite it's nasty weather habits.

chicago is a great city ... but weather wise you'll be in a totally different realm than ATL. i'm sure you've considered that though.

I doubt i could move back to the midwest unless the money was really amazing ... lol.

Great fit (beside the sleeves, but you seem well aware of that).
